[edit] Tommi's report
The city of Skitstrand is deep north. Many of the people are fervent servants of Tyr, and they raid the river up and down. A large festival in Tyr's honour is approaching. A witch, Sven Weienstein, who lives nearby senses something strange happening in the town and sends Work to find out what it is, yet also goes personally to see what is happening. Helga is the head priestess of the city and is preparing for the festivities while he sees a boy who downright radiates power and is interested. The boy is called Lok; their discussion is cut short by Sven Weinstein seeking the high priestess, but not placing any attention upon the boy. As the adults start talking Lok quietly leaves, pilfering a crystall ball from Sven's pocket.
Work comes out from a tavern just as Lok is investigating the crystal ball, and after a minro struggle carries Lok to his master, who during those events had inquired about the strange event he noticed had happened in Skitstrand, but Helga was unwilling to give information. Sven Weinstein notices that he does not have the crystal ball just as Work carries Lok there, at which point Sven graciously offers the tool for Helga to use in divining, especially about the potential threat that the magical phenomenon may cause.
Lok mocks Tyr, is punished for the misdeed, Helga consults the crystal ball to no great effect, Lok reveals his true nature as a sage reborn, they go outside in order for Lok to use the item of divination. Sven Weinstein covertly raises some of the nearby buried as walking corpses, whom Work and a few local guards go to engage with unfortunate results; one dead, many wounded. Evidently [[Sven Weinstein|Sven] gets the crystal ball out of Lok's hands and further releases the spirits that animated the dead, making them inert once again. Lok escapes with the crystal ball, Helga heals Work, for which Sven Weinstein owes her a favour.
